Loved the onsen, and the decor of the hotel was truly and oasis in the city. Great location, loved the cleanliness and truly feeling like you are in Japan.

What was the highlight of Onyado Nono Osaka Yodoyabashi
Authentic stay with modern amenities in Osaka.
Modern Ryokan experience with shoes off in the lobby and a tatami laden room but with modern amenities. Very comfortable and enjoyable with an authentic flavour. Free access to the hotel's onsen and lots of thoughtful touches like free icicles after the onsen, free noodles etc.
The toilet in our room had a mild sewage smell, but it was manageable with the toilet and bedroom doors closed.

Hotel with nice bath facility
A modern hotel with the look and feel of a traditional inn (quasi-tatami flooring, etc.), in a good central Osaka location near the Yodo River, close to public transit. A big plus is the very nice onsen/public bath facility. Free noodles after 9:00 pm was a nice perk. too. Room was small, typical of Japanese hotels, and had no view (except of building walls) but was quiet and comfortable. If staying here again I would request (and pay a bit more) for an upper-floor room facing the river side; asked to upgrade when I checked in but hotel wasn't able to accommodate this request.
Small room, having to take off and store shoes in lockers at lobby level. If the flooring was real tatami matting I would understand this, but it is actually synthetic flooring made to look like traditional tatami.

What was the highlight of Onyado Nono Osaka Yodoyabashi
Great stay, escellent location with nearby transport links.
We had a comfortable stay at the hotel. The room was small but normal for Osaka standards, good value for money. The restaurant was comfortable with lots of seating space. Good breakfast selection with many options. The location was ideal for us as we wanted to explore a bit of the area along the river and away from busy Dotonbori. Well connected with 2 metro stations just walking distance from the hotel. Also important to note, there is a Lawson downstairs which is ideal for buying water and sweets!
Only comment, it would be nice to provide guests with slippers upon arrival. There is a no-shoes-allowed policy on all hotel areas, including the ground floor reception. The hotel provides lockers for guests to store their shoes, but slippers are not provided. It can be a bit uncomfortable if you are barefoot.
